Our 10 year old loves that he can make a variety of magnetic shapes and images. He loves the challenges and agrees that they help pass the time. He's been using the book for 2 years now and continues to grab it and explore the Tangram challenges when he has some free time.
One problem he found was there are some spelling mistakes or typos. For example, he pointed out that "girls" is spelled "grils" on page 49 o f the Travel Tangram Improved Version.

I was a little skeptical thinking the kids would bore of it after a few minutes, but it was passed around all 4 of them ages 13-5 for the whole trip especially my 8 yr old loved trying to solve it. I loved how there were so so many diagrams and not just the usual 10 out so.

These are cute and once snapped, the swivel of the snap can make them fun. I would say 4-5 is a good age range due to the snap issue.
