For younger kids, this can be used for letter recognition, match the letter game, put in the correct order, even color sorting! For older kids, you can have them spell out the written word, take out a single letter of a sight word and have them fill it in (ex: bu_ and find the missings), etc. Make learning fun is the key! A great see-and-spell toy. It comes with a great little carrying case to keep everything in as well, with a nice mesh bag that you can pull to seal that stores the pieces and prevents loss of cards or wooden letters. The nice thing about it is that when these pieces become dirty, you can just put them into the bag, seal them and run them through the wash if you want to clean them.
